The first display case contains the first frisbees made in Finland, Ufokki and TakeOff. We have not yet found any Muovo-Satellas. Unfortunately, we did not get the Kunto-Ufo to the exhibition.

Ufokki

Special Notes: The Ufokkis was developed by Aki Muhonen from Kuopio. The first style of Ufokkis were produced in green, red and blue.

Special Notes: Some of the first style of Ufokki have Key Flag or Finnish Fitness Sports Association approved stickers. Aki Muhonen said: "The stickers were introduced immediately in the first style of Ufokki". The bottom of the Ufokki is flat.

Special Notes: The second style of Ufokki were replaced with a new matching Key Flag, Ufokki and the Finnish Fitness Sports Federation sticker, as well as an approximately 4 mm circular groove on the bottom of the Ufokki.

Special Notes: Aki Muhonen said that the third style, reissue, is no longer made by him. When Aki stopped making Ufokki, the mold remained with Finnmayr, and Aki has no information about the later stages of the mold. It is not known who made the reissue. Based on the quality of the plastic, the reissue was made in the 1990s.

Special Notes: The plastic of the Ufokkis has become clearly shinier than in previous styles. The Ufokkis no longer have stickers. There is a 4 mm circular groove on the bottom of the Ufokki. The Ufokkis of the third style have been produced in blue, white and red.

Special Notes: TakeOff frisbees are made in blue, red and black.

TakeOff Flying Ring
Maker: Plasto, Åland Islands

Date Introduced: Late 1970s
Special Notes: Plasto has also manufactured the TakeOff flying ring. The diameter of the ring is approx. 30 cm. The flying ring is made in red and black. The production of the TakeOff frisbee and the TakeOff flying ring has started at the same time.

Special Notes: Wham-O began manufacturing Flying Saucers in 1958. The Flying Saucer was changed to the Regular Frisbee in 1966.
The Flying Saucers and Regular Frisbees became popular, especially among younger children, and are the best-selling Frisbee models in the world. Replicas of this model have been made in several countries. The Plasto's TakeOff is a replica of this model.
